Meet Chelsea Takami

Chelsea Takami is a 27 year old Singer/songwriter and recording artist who is not afraid to go outside her comfort zone and sing whatever she wants. Based out of Long Island, NY she plays acoustic guitar, piano, and flute. At the age of 6 she found her love for music when she picked up her first flute from their she has played in countless jazz and pitt bands, as well as wind and chamber ensembles. By the age of 13 Chelsea’s flute trio was selected to perform at Lincoln Center. In high school she bought her first acoustic guitar and found her love for Singing.

2007 she went to The University at Albany that is where Chelsea became the go-to performer for various clubs and events. She also devoted much of her freshman year to learning the piano, taking a songwriter's approach rather than the classical method she had studied previously with the flute. She naturally began composing songs on the keys as well. Chelsea graduating Summa Cum Laude and earning her B.A. in Music Performance and Composition in 2010, her and LA based rapper Brendan Martin has opened for Mac Miller, Jadakiss, Bobby Valentino, Young Jeezy, Chris Webby, and Mirk and the New Familiars. She is currently based in NY where she plays at different location all over NY.
